Passport Renewal Online

Passports are valid for 10 years for adults. If your passport is nearing expiration, has run out of pages, or has been lost, you need to apply for a 'Re-issue of Passport'. This guide walks you through the online renewal process on the Passport Seva portal.

Online Renewal Process

Step 1: Register on Passport Seva

Visit the Passport Seva Online Portal. Click on 'New User Registration' if you don't have an account, or 'Existing User Login' to log in.

Step 2: Choose Application Type

Click on the link 'Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport'. Choose the online form filling method.

Step 3: Fill the Form

Select 'Re-issue of Passport' and specify the reason (e.g., Validity Expired). Fill in all required details, including your old passport number, date of issue, and place of issue.

Step 4: Pay and Book Appointment

Submit the form and click on 'Pay and Schedule Appointment'. Online payment is mandatory to book appointments at PSK/POPSK. Pay the fee (₹1,500 for normal) and select an available appointment slot.

Step 5: Visit the PSK

Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) on the scheduled date and time. Carry your old passport (original) and self-attested photocopies of its first and last pages, along with any other required documents (like address proof if the address has changed).
